After a sudden leaving of the designer's life, the brand continues to retain his stylist, pleases with extravagant clothing and bold causing images.
About brand
Alexander McQueen is a nominal luxury segment brand, founded by London designer Alexander Macquin. This is the most outstanding and scandalous fashion house in England.
The founder of the brand is a unique personality, a talented fashion designer who was awarded three times a title "British designer of the year" in a sufficiently young age - in 1997, 1998 and 2002.
One of the few who masterfully determined and instantly picked up fashion trends at the turn of two centuries. In his hands, even the most fonduous colors came to life, they began to "play and sing", envelope unprecedented power.
In the collections of Alexander, the absolute opposites were harmoniously combined, it was this incredible feature that made his brand so unique.
Macquain itself is often defined as a "talented and shocking designer, an eccentric artist who created spectacular images that are not fitted in the conservatism framework."
The biography of the designer is not much different from his other contemporaries. Being a leaving from the poor London family, he could hardly assume that he could achieve such success, and his brand would become popular all over the world.
- Lee McQueen was born on March 17, 1969 in London. He was fond of fashion since childhood, drawing sketches of female dresses, but the family was against his hobbies.

After a month, the post of creative director of the brand was taken by McCain's assistant - Sarah Burton, which is still in this position so far.
Collections of clothing
For his life, Alexand McQueen managed to release 35 collections of clothing from 1992 to 2010. Each is worthy of a separate mention, but we will get acquainted with the most interesting and provocative of them.
- St Martins Ma Graduate Collection, Jack The Ripper Stalks His Victims (Jack Ripper Launches Victims »), 1992
The graduation collection of a designer, which is devoted to Jack to the Ripper. Unfortunately, there are no photos from the debut show, and the owner of the collection became Isabella Bloou, which we mentioned above.
Nevertheless, several things from that collection did not participate in the exhibition Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, which was held in the New York Metropolitan Museum.
Among the exhibits - a silk dress with a barbed wire pattern, which is decorated with man's hair. This is a reference to women of easy behavior of the Victorian era. They sold their hair, of which they made wigs with curls.
Initially, own curls, packed in plastic bags, attached to all designer clothes.
- Highland Rape ("Raped Scotland"), Autumn / Winter 1995
The provocative name received a collection dedicated to the conflict of Scotland and England. The models went on the podium, depicting sadness on the verge of hysteria, and I was hoping for them there was a checkered clothing with cutouts.
Then, incorrectly perceiving the collection, critics accused Alexander in hate to women.
- The Hunger ("Hunger"), Spring / Summer 1996
The collection struck the beauty of vampires even before it became mainstream. In the mid-90s, designer used tops resembling bags with blood, asymmetrical silk blouses of black and pants with cuttings on hips.
Some skirts were decorated with deer horns, and Rog's fragments turned into a sign-to-thels, which was powerful and sophisticated at the same time.
- Dante (Dante), Autumn / Winter 1996
The show was devoted to the parishioners of the Guenota Church, whose parishings were descendants of Alexander. The models went on the podium accompanied by organ music, they themselves were with pale leather and bloody lips. The atmosphere in the hall was to remind the gathered and approaching death.
The collection is particularly noteworthy in that the photos were printed photographs of people made by the famous military photographer Don Maccalen.
- VOSS, Spring / Summer 2001
The show has become one of the most ambitious performances not only for the brand, but also for the fashion industry as a whole. The mirror club and many other scenery were designed to imitate a psychiatric hospital.
On the models that were portrayed the mentally ill, jerking dresses, decorated with embroidery, feathers and middle shells. Some heads were clogged, others were decorated with hats in the form of stuffed birds.
The collection also included office trousers, plastic tops, asymmetrical jackets. It was a game in contrasts - simple lines were complemented by hyperbolynized images.
Since McQueen from childhood adored birds, it was not the only collection in which he used feathers - they were constant material for creativity and creating incredible masterpieces.
- La Dame Bleue ("Lady in Blue"), Spring / Summer 2008
Suicide girlfriend and Muse Isabella Bloou in 2007 became a big blow for Alexander. To cope with accumulated emotions, the designer devoted his mentor to the next collection, based on her style.
It was a clothing in Asian motifs, dresses with birds of birds, hats, imitating fencing masks and, of course, famous headwear from cluster butterflies that helped create Philip Trecy.
- The Widows of Culloden ("Kawloden's Widow"), Autumn / Winter 2006
Another collection, which is devoted to the turbulent bloody history of Scotland, originally from which were his ancestors. According to the memoirs of friends, he was literally obsessed with this country.
In the collection of McQueen used mainly multiple textural fabrics, tartan, feathers and fur. Oloe hats played deer horns, nests, butterflies and bird wings. The show has been completed with a soaring hologram Kate Moss in an intertarous organza dress.
- The Horn Of Plenty ("Horn of Isobacy"), Autumn / Winter 2009
This show today remains one of the most spectacular and memorable in the history of the fashion industry. The designer again turned to the theme of birds, this time surpassing himself.
The topic of the collection is devoted to the age of consumption in which we live. The models came to the podium at very high heels, dressed in color contrasts.
The role of hats was played by umbrellas and bird cells. All this was supplemented with clothes made of feathers.
The show was completed by two models that came out in white and black dresses. The outfits were fully made of feathers - now they can be safely considered to be one of the most recognizable masterpieces of the designer.
Of course, they caused a lot of criticism, but they managed to convey to the public the main thing: Fashion is art, and not commerce.
- Plato's Atlantis (Atlantis Plato), Spring / Summer 2010
The last collection of a designer, which demonstrated the flight of its limitless fantasy. She calls him a peculiar "end of the world" from Alexander McCain.
The designer was inspired by the problem of global warming and life after the apocalypse. The show was the embodiment of Alexander's fantasies, in which the planet inhabits people-reptiles, which adapted to life on land and under water.
The collection includes air dresses, outfits of an unusual shape with a snake print and the image of the butterfly overflowing wings. On the heads of the models were high hairstyles that were called upon to complete the image of alien creatures.
The collection is particularly recognizable, thanks to the legendary Armadillo shoes (from English. "Bremen All). These are unusual shoes with a high platform and a 30-centimeter heel.
They acquired particular popularity thanks to Lady Gaga, which appeared in them in their clip, and then bought most of the models presented.

For example, in 2009, he presented a collection of shoes on 30-centimpical heels, which reminded hoofs. Some models even refused to participate in the show, having counted the shoes too extreme.
As part of various collections, he had shoes, resembling the jaw of an alien aliens, sandals on a fantasy platform, decorated with butterflies, japanese-style shoes.
After his leaving, Brad shoes became more restrained and laconic. Sarah Burton presents a collection that includes rather ordinary shoes and sandals, but they are more suitable for everyday socks.

In 2006, the brand signed a contract for the creation of a collection of bags and suitcases with Samsonite. The suitcases made a real ex. - Human ribs were displaced on the lid of one model, and the other imitated the turtle shell.
The iconic clutchs appeared already after the death of the designer. Continuing the traditions created by the designer, Sarah created a collection of clutches decorated with the skulls that Alexander adored.
This clutch is recognizable thanks to the knob in the form of a tape, which simultaneously serves as a spectacular decoration. The design used floral and vegetable motifs, and the handbags themselves are made of metal and thick skin.

Forms and appearance of glasses are diverse, especially fashionista love models with skulls that look bright and rapidly.
