Weaving from the tubes is not such a new-fashioned kind of needlework. It has existed for a long time, but from time to time "experiences" a new wave of popularity. Since plastic from modern interiors is extruded as much as possible, but the tree, natural textiles, straw and knitted decorative products, traffic jam, on the contrary, strengthened their positions, the weaving will be very relevant. And we can weave from newspaper tubes - affordable and cheap material.
Types of weaving
Weaving options are somewhat, each is interesting in its own way and makes it possible to obtain an easy-to-fit pattern. Some technicians can be compared with lace - usually the openwork caskets do. There is a weaving, providing a handful of strength and density, that is, there will not be a lumen in them.
Methods of weaving by tubes from newspapers:
- one strip;
- rope of three tubes;
- Weaving direct and reverse ropes with strips tubes;
- Weave one or two blanks;
- spiral weaving;

There are several basic tips for beginners.
- The gap between the racks is no more than 2 cm. If this rule is broken, weaving will be loose and fragile.
- You need to relate to the racks as delicately: do not finish and not bend short elements during operation.
- So that there are no holes and serious rushes in the pattern of a wicker product, after the execution of each row you need to level the racks, pressing the woven rows to each other as close as possible.
- Places where the elements are spliced, it is recommended to hide in weaving, between the racks in the middle.
- If the tubes ceased to be flexible, they are unnecessarily dense, they can be sprinkled with water, withstand 20 minutes in a polyethylene package. So paper material becomes obedient and the halls will not leave. At the same time, paper vine will later become strong.
- During weaving, the moisturizes can be shaken, because the moisturization was excessive, it is necessary to give the material to dry a little.
- The ends of the curved racks are better to cut inside the product. By the end of the weaving, the old racks are better to cut, while inserting new moisturized racks, which is good, without fallen.

How to do?
Any master class includes step-by-step instructions, which explains in detail the creation of a particular decor. But for those who never took the newspaper tubes, there will be more valuable to be a preliminary universal briefing.
- Step 1. Selection of material. If the task is to make a large box or stand, glossy magazine pages are suitable as the material. And if the interior decoration is small, there are thin tubes: they are plastic, it is easier, the round shapes do not break.
- Step 2. Standard universal set of materials and tools: newspapers, cut by strips of 4-10 cm, sinking or tip knitting, scissors (a stationery knife), PVA glue / adhesive pencil / "Titan".
- Step 3. Preparation of material for weaving. The newspaper should be cut into 4 bands with a short side, then sort, that is, the edge strips will go into one stack (of which there are white tubes), to another text, adensived. A cut must be put in front of yourself on the table (white border down).
- Step 4. Beginning of work. The knitting needle under the desired angle is placed in the right lower corner of the cut. The smaller the distance between the newspaper edge and the needle / spit, the longer the tube will turn out. Corner must be wrapped with tension, on the needle - one turnover. It needs to be held, rolling around the spiral all the cut. Wreathing is necessarily supported by tension over the entire length. The finishing corner necessarily applies adhesive for fixation.
- Step 5. Get the needle. The needle is maximally delicately gets, after which the finished tube goes to dry. It will take an average of 20 minutes. The diameters of the ends of the tube will be different, because they can be subsequently increased. On the thin edge you need to apply a glue composition, and it will be inserted or screwed into the edge wide. That's all - quickly got rid of the joints.
- Step 6. Colorist solution. When all the product is woven according to the requirements of a specific MK, work must be painted. Sometimes it is done before the start of weaving, if the product is multi-colored. Tint, tone saturation is always a wizard's personal experiment. What can be painted: watercolor, gouache, acrylic paints, veneer, water-emulsion paints.
- Step 7. Varnish. After the paint dried on the intertwined tubes, the product in 2 layers need to be lacquered. So the color of finished work will be brighter, rich. In addition, this product will not be afraid of moisture.
"Spit"
- This simple bending will consist of three rows. For beginners - the most optimal way to learn weaving.
- The beginning of the weaving of the first row is to a pigtail of three tubes (in this case - pre-scratched) need to have risers. The working tube must be started for the riser, and the previous one is laid on it from above. The same is done until the end of the row. To laid the last riser, the next tube is started under laid, and behind it and the riser. The first row is ready.
- The second row is to start each tube inside the next two. Then you need to skip it on the left of the second tube. And so to do to the end of the row. The penultimate tube must be started under the first, and the last one is under the second.
- The third row - each tube you need to start the next and output, that is, inside the product it turns out a pretty pigtail. Tails, which are formed outside, you need to cut carefully.
That's all, very simple, If you figure it out, you can make a beautiful product - such a basic workpiece for anything . It can be just a basket without top or the basis for the future casket. By the way, in this MK, weaving goes to the right left, not all the masters do so. If it is more convenient to weave in the opposite direction, it is worth considering that the bending will go to the other side.
Basket-Vase
- To work, you need to take: paper, parchment, knitting needles, pva glue, scissors.
- Cutting paper on the strips, the entire roll is divided into pieces of 50-60 cm, and then each piece is still on 3 parts. When the strips are ready, they can be twisted with the help of the needles. In order to secure the beginning of the tube well, you need to apply a couple of droplets of PVA glue - and a few more drops along the entire strip.
- After twisting, the bands need to make knitting, as in the picture. Weaving goes according to the standard diagram, the tubes are connected to the shoulder, as this happens when the basket is weaving the vine. The beginning of the tube will always be already inserting it into another element.
- In the neck, the tubes need to drop the glue, insert the next one. And so the weaving continues, scrolling one into another on the spiral path.
- Weaving continues until the end of the neck. Now the vase to be dragged and painted (if the bands are not painted before).
The high glass is easily placed inside the vase, which can be filled with water, and then the product will serve as a purpose - small bouquets it will decorate with its elegance and ease.
