Most often for self-sewing skirts, the packs are choosing a fabric called "fatin". The fatin is a synthetic material with a cellular structure, in other words, a small grid. It has varying degrees of hardness.
You need to choose the tissue of medium stiffness, as soft fatin does not hold the shape, and hard is not suitable for delicate children's skin.
How to paint in the right color?
Traditionally, ballet packs have a snow-white color, but since we will sew an outfit for a child, and not a scenic suit, the skirt color can be absolutely anyone. If there was no desired shade in the fabric store, you can paint the fatin in the desired color at home.
To do this, you can take advantage of special paints for synthetic tissues, and you can enter the arsenal of folk agents. For example, to make an emerald shade, use the green-diluted in water in the water (but with this way you need to be careful, otherwise not only the skirt will green, but all the circle, including you and the child).

- Take the first strip of fabric and tie to the gum so that both of its ends are the same length. To pack the bundle out volume, knit a double knot, and to create less lush skirts it is better to use a node-loop. Try so that the nodules are neat, and the fabric has not branded anywhere.
- We repeat this procedure for each tissue strip until the gum will be filled with the entire length.
- If necessary, the skirt can be entrusted.
